We started Nordic Sky because we saw too many service business owners (especially MSPs) working hard, making money, but never really understanding their numbers. They had bookkeepers. They had financial reports. But they didn’t have answers.
We believe business owners deserve more than reconciled accounts. They deserve a financial partner who understands their business model and helps them make confident decisions.
Meet Tassy
Tassy is the founder of Nordic Sky, bringing 25+ years of experience in financial services, from working with ultra-high net worth families as a licensed financial professional to managing complex operations at trust companies and wealth management firms.
Her financial background isn’t just operational, it’s comprehensive. She’s held Series 7 and Series 66 licenses, conducted fiduciary audits, oversaw trust operations, and served clients with portfolios ranging from $5M to $100M+. She’s Intuit certified and continuously expanding her credentials because staying current isn’t optional in this field. It’s essential.
From Big Banks, RIAs, to Trust Companies, she built the systems that allowed those organizations to scale: onboarding processes, compliance frameworks, technology implementations, and operational workflows that transformed manual chaos into reliable, auditable systems.
At Nordic Sky, she brings that same level of sophistication to small and mid-sized businesses. She’s not just reconciling accounts, she’s building financial clarity systems rooted in the standards of institutional finance, helping business owners understand what’s happening in their businesses and make confident decisions based on accurate, timely financial information.
Meet Adam
Adam brings decades of MSP industry experience to Nordic Sky. He started as a technician and became a business owner, but like many MSP owners, the business side didn’t come naturally at first.
Over the past 10-12 years, he deliberately learned the financial side of running an MSP: joining peer groups, studying business finance, analyzing what separates profitable MSPs from struggling ones. Today, he runs the Peer Groups at Pax8 and has built several financial courses teaching MSP owners the same principles he learned through experience.
He also runs a YouTube Channel and MSP specific blog to help MSPs worldwide.
He knows the MSP business model inside and out. He’s lived the challenges MSP owners face. And he knows exactly what financial insights MSPs need to make better decisions because he’s been there.
Why Nordic Sky
We’ve been talking about creating a business for years: building something of our own.
We’re both entrepreneurial at heart. We love living in Minnesota (the North Star state, fitting for our brand). We both have Nordic heritage (she’s part Norwegian and he’s part Finnish). We wanted to build a business that gives us the freedom to work from anywhere while creating real value for our clients.
The timing was right. Tassy had the time and desire to build something from the ground up. Adam would continue his day job while bringing MSP expertise and strategic guidance. Together, we had exactly what service businesses (especially MSPs) need: deep financial expertise combined with real industry knowledge.
Nordic Sky isn’t just a bookkeeping company. It’s the business we’ve been dreaming about building. It exists to give business owners something we both believe in: financial clarity that drives better decisions.
